About: - Chetna Association of Canada is a community-based society registered under the Societies Act of BC. It was established in 1999 with a primary objective of raising awareness about the caste-based issues globally. The members of Chetna take inspiration from Baba Saheb Dr. B R Ambedkar. Chetna currently has a strong partnership with Dr. Hari Sharma foundation, Institute for the Humanities at Simon Fraser University (SFU), and various departments of University of British Columbia (UBC). The partnership has planned and delivered Dr. Ambedkar Memorial Lectures since 2016. This organisation is a connected organisation of Ambedkar International Centre and caste watch.
