Background

Sejoy Deuri is the Secretary of the All Tiwa Protection Committee. Along with Tiwa organizations, Sejoy Deuri protested against the Citizenship (Amendment) Act (CAA) bill brought by the Government of India. Sejoy Deuri misled the people against CAA, claiming that this bill is against the citizens of Assam, and the government should withdraw it.
