Garo Students Union (GSU) is a student based organization. GSU has been involved in various issues including the Citizenship Amendment Act (CAA). This union did a “black day” protest in Tripura against the CAA. GSU resumed their protests across the region demanding repeal of the CAA after a gap of two years due to the Covid-19 pandemic.
