About: - The Student Federation of India (SFI) is a left-leaning student organization in India, founded in 1970 and currently affiliated with the Communist Party of India (Marxist). With its roots in Marxist ideology, SFI has been accused of spreading extremist ideas and promoting violence, intolerance, and disruptive behavior among students. SFI's modus operandi involves infiltrating educational institutions, brainwashing impressionable young minds, and using them as foot soldiers to further their radical agenda. The SFI has alliances with several left-wing organizations, including the Communist Party of India (Marxist), All India Forward Bloc, and the Revolutionary Socialist Party. Established on December 30th, 1970, with C. Baskaran elected as the first President, the organization currently has V.P Sanu serving as the President, and Mayukh Biswas as the General Secretary. SFI primarily targets the educational system of India. The organization has protested against the National Education Policy in 2019 and actively participated in Citizenship Amendment Act Protests. SFI has also been involved in anti-democratic activities in Kerala, and in 2022, SFI activists were booked for assaulting a woman at Government Law College, Trivandrum.
