About: - Rachelle Bharathi Chandran is a writer-poet and independent researcher whose interests lie in the areas of intergenerational trauma and the construction of Dalit sexuality and aesthetics. Her postgraduate work focused on developing an aesthetic rating scale rooted in one’s native culture. She has also written for The New Indian Express, Firstpost, The Forward Press, Malaroli, Gaysi, and Roundtable India. Zer essay for Skin Stories, POV has been published in an anthology on disability, sexuality and gender. She primarily works with organisations led by marginalised caste, gender, sexuality and disabled persons. She established the first decentralised reading group: Savitri Birsa Ambedkar Malcolm X Kanshiram Ansari Veerammal (SBAMKAV) which works as a collective instead of following a leadership model. She also moderates the signal/WhatsApp group: Stym-the first autistic support group espousing anti-caste values while also part of Sabhaavnaa Institute.
