Background

Simantini Dhuru is a documentary filmmaker. She is the Defence Committee member of Kabir Kala Manch. Adharshila Learning Center which is run by Adivasi Mukti Sangathan is funded by Eklavya Foundation. Simantini Dhuru is also a member of Eklavya Foundation. She has been actively involved in human rights and environmental movements, including the Narmada Bachao Andolan.
