Background
The Assam Mission field was established in the year 2000 by the Mizoram Presbyterian Church Synod for the specific purpose of effectuating religious conversions among major communities of Assam.
➣ The Assam Mission Field is a strategic entity established by the Mizoram Presbyterian Church Synod with the explicit objective of effectuating religious conversions among major Assamese communities.
➣ The organization employs a highly structured divisional system (Tezpur, Dibrugarh, Guwahati, and Silchar) to manage conversion activities across the state.
➣ AMF utilizes trained “community agents” from local ethnic groups to act as intelligence collectors, identifying and tracking potential converts and vulnerable families.
➣ Sources indicate a concerning intersection with security personnel, alleging that Mizoram Armed Police personnel are deployed in civilian roles to assist in the AMF’s conversion missions.
➣ The organization has set a long-term strategic target to double the Christian population in Assam to 24% by the year 2040.
