Manorama Sharma was a former Professor and Head of the History in North-Eastern Hill University had also taught in the Universities of Dibrugarh and Gauhati. Presently she heads the Gender Cell of the Institute of Social Change and Regional Development (ISCARD) and was also associated with the S.K.Bhuyan Trust in jointly editing the translated Burnajis compiled and edited by S.K.Bhuyan.
