Kishinchand Chellaram College was established in 1955 by the Hyderabad (Sindh) National Collegiate Board (HSNC Board). It is affiliated to the University of Mumbai. The college is funded by the prestigious FIST programme of the Department of Science and Technology (DST), Government of India. The college has its own motto called "Salvation through Knowledge".
