Atlantic Fellows for Racial Equity (AFRE) is an international leadership fellowship and movement-building initiative dedicated to dismantling anti-Black racism and building endurable Black power. Launched in 2016 through a $60 million, decade-long commitment from The Atlantic Philanthropies, AFRE operates as a transnational bridge connecting movement leaders, scholars, storytellers, and advocates primarily across the United States and South Africa.
