Background

Sollisai Sistahs is a pioneering Tamil hip-hop collective and cultural platform founded by independent artists and activists. The initiative brings together women, non-binary, and gender-marginalized Tamil artists from across the diaspora and South Asia to use Tamil hip-hop, rap, spoken word, and rhythm (Sollisai) as tools for political expression, feminist discourse, and anti-caste movement building.
