Background
Adivasi Mukti Sangathan (AMS) is a Far Left or LWE Political Organisation and primarily active in the Adivasi area called Nimad Region of Madhya Pradesh (Barwani, Khargone, Khandwa and Burhanpur) for over 30 plus years.
Executive Note
➣ Adivasi Mukti Sangathan (AMS) opposes development projects, ostensibly to protect Adivasi interests. They actively organize opposition to such projects while simultaneously criticizing the government for its perceived lack of development efforts in tribal areas.
➣ AMS influences Gram Sabhas, which operate under the PESA framework, to pass resolutions against development projects, sending these resolutions to the government. The organization has close ties with Christian missionary organizations operating in the Nimad region of Madhya Pradesh, raising questions about their affiliations and influence.
➣ AMS runs its own school where it propagates its Left Wing Extremist (LWE) ideology to children, potentially radicalizing them.
➣ It is notable that AMS, Jai Adivasi Yuva Shakti (JAYS), Adivasi Chhatra Sangathan (ACS), and Jagrit Adivasi Dalit Sangathan (JADS) are all run by the same individuals or group, suggesting coordinated efforts. AMS frequently engages in protests, leveraging various issues to create an atmosphere of anarchy.
➣ The organization spreads separatist narratives, asserting that Adivasis are not Hindus. At some point, AMS has successfully created divisions between Adivasis and Hindus in the Nimad Region of South-West Madhya Pradesh.
➣ AMS and Gajanand Brahmane are viewed as a significant security threat to the law and order situation in Madhya Pradesh.AMS provides support to JAYS, contributing to the political dynamics in Madhya Pradesh.

Observations
- Adivasi Mukti Sangathan opposed the Development, in the guise of protecting the interest of Adivasis. These organizations muster the organized opposition to the development projects. Simultaneously in the same breath, they clamour at the top of their voice that Government is not doing any development in the tribal area.
- AMS sends their representative to Gram Sabha, which is conducted under the PESA, and they influence the Sabha to pass a resolution against any development project and send the resolution to the Government.
- AMS has a very close relationship with the Christian Missionaries Organization, which is working in the Nimad region of MP.
- AMS has its school where it propagates its LWE’s ideology to the Children Mind and makes them LWE’s by default.
- AMS, Jai Adivasi Yuva Shakti (JAYS), Adivasi Chhatra Sangathan (ACS), Jagrit Adivasi Dalit Sangathan (JADS) are run by the same peoples.
- AMS always protests in the name of some and other issues to create Anarchy.
- AMS spread separatist narratives like Adivasi are not Hindu. At some point, AMS has successfully created a rift between Adivasis and Hindus in Nimad Region (South-West MP).
- AMS and Gajanand Brahmane, “a major security threat against the law and order of Madhya Pradesh”.
- AMS is giving back support to JAYS, and is giving the third option in the politics of Madhya Pradesh.
Introduction
Adivasi Mukti Sangathan (AMS) is a Far Left or LWE Political Organisation and primarily active in the Adivasi area called Nimad Region of Madhya Pradesh (Barwani, Khargone, Khandwa and Burhanpur) for over 30 plus years.
Bijoy B Panda and Nikunja, two men from Orissa, started the AMS in 1992. Bijoy used to work with Oxfam earlier. Two years ago, they were joined by Madhuri Krishnaswamy alias Madhuri Ben, a historian by training who had worked with the organization Ekta Parishad in central MP. These three “outside” activists have been joined by several full-time. Currently, Gajanand Brahmane is heading the AMS.
AMS is well known for its separatist ideology -“Whether it is the state or some leader, everything should belong to us - then only will our rule be established. This was the Sangathan. After that, the land, jungle, and water belong to us. When you are living there, then everything here including the river and well belong to us.”[1]Bhimsingh, AMS Member (interview, March 2010)
History of AMS
AMS has a long history of creating unrest or anarchism from 1992 to now in the Nimad region of Madhya Pradesh (where AMS played the role of Maoist and Adivasi Samaj Sudhar Shanti Sena (ASSSS) played the role of Dalit Panther or Bhumi Sena). AMS did the armed struggle against Digvijay Singh’s, Congress-led Government and its officials, local businessmen and civilians. The campaign against the state reached its climax during August and September 1997. Jhagdia Patel (A Bhil Adivasi who was president of the Bhagwanpura Congress Committee and the hereditary headman of Kabri village) was hunted down and killed by a group of men headed by AMS rebels. In response, Subhash Yadav (The Deputy Chief Minister in Digvijay Singh’s Congress government) declared that the Shanti Sena should redouble its efforts to recruit more members and ordered the police to post five armed guards in each village to establish law and order and counter the AMS.
Reference from A Book - AMS was on the verge of becoming a threat to the sovereignty of the state and entrenched structures of caste and class power in the region. There are reports that the AMS may be Banned, but PUCL saved them from getting banned. There are authoritative statements from senior police officers saying that AMS harbors “History Sheeters,” people who were recorded as notorious and had a bad character in police files. High-ranking forest officers say that the entire forest administration was terrorized by the AMS, which encouraged Adivasis to encroach on forests and cut trees illegally. Subash Yadav, the deputy CM at that time, asserts that if he were Home Minister, the AMS would be extirpated from not just MP, but out of India. He goes on to say that the organization does its best to sabotage development work because development would bring the Adivasis poor and powerless.
AMS was also involved in Maheshwar Anti-Dam Struggle, but it failed because in the late 90s, AMS credibility is low. It represented and was perceived as a lawless organization, urging Adivasis to destroy the forest, inciting them to take arms against the state, sheltering murderers. SOURCE[2]
AMS was an active partner of Jana Mukti Morcha – a confederation of people’s organisations like Khedut Mazdoor Chetna Sangath, Narmada Bachao Andolan, Ekta Parishad. AMS is also associated with state and national movements like Bharat Jan Andolan, Azadi Bachao Andolan and Tribal Network.[3]
AMS is origin place of many other organisations like - Jagrit Adivasi Dalit Sangathan (JADS), Adivasi Chhatra Sangathan (ACS), Jai Adivasi Yuva Shakti (JAYS).
AMS has also founded a school called Adharshila Learning Center to propagate its Ideology (war against the state). AMS is feeding its LWE ideology to children from an early stage. AMS has also very close connections with CPI(Marxist) and Adivasi Ekta Parishad (Gajanand Brahmane himself a state head of Adivasi Ekta Parishad, MP).
Various member of AMS and Gajanand himself has been served an externment notice by the District Administration Barwani, under the Madhya Pradesh Rajya Suraksha Adhiniyam 1990 because of creating anarchism and interrupting the work of government officials and striking fear and terror in the minds of government official.[4][5]

Madhuri then worked for some time with the Nirman Mazdoor Sangh (the NGO working for the construction workers). Later Madhuri joined in the early 90’s, Ekta Parishad then active mostly in the Chhattisgarh region of Madhya Pradesh (at that time Chhattisgarh was part of Madhya Pradesh). A few years later she shifted (in 1992) to Khargone district where she joined the Adivasi Mukti Sangathan Madhuri later moved to the Badwani area (which was still a part of Khargone district) and started organizing the Tribals and Dalits under the aegis of JADS. She is also a member of Women against Sexual Violence and State Repression (WSS) (Sudha Bhardwaj a convicted Urban Naxalite was also a member of same Organization).[6]“Over two dozen criminal cases have so far been slapped against Madhuri. Madhuri and other members of JADS accused of indulging in ‘anti-social and anti-public welfare activities’ and obstructing the government’s public welfare and developmental schemes”.
He active since 1992 in the Nimad Region of Madhya Pradesh and led the many insurgency and anarchism later converted into Riots in the Mid 90s. Apart from this, he is also a Hindu Hater.

A few months ago, he made a statement and created a fear-mongering on Covid Vaccine. He is an influential person and can speak to people, it is not a matter of fear but they are provoking in reverse.[7]
He gave an Interview and proudly accepted how he threatened official authorities or government employees, anarchism and insurgencies in MP. Also, make many fake and imaginary theories on government and technologies. He and his organization are making their own rules in the Tribal Areas of Nimad region. And incited the people against the government and make a statement “either die or kill”.
He is consistently running anti-Establishment campaign on Social Media.
5. Vikram Achhaliya - He was the member of AMS later he founded the JAYS along with Hiralal Alawa and Mahendra Singh Kannoj.
Vikram Achhaliya runs portal called Adivasi People, supringly Communist Party of India (Marxist) and Adivasi Ekta Parishad members are also contributor of very same portal.[8]

b. Sanjay Parate - He is a CPI(Marxist) State Secretary of Chhattisgarh and President of Kisan Sabha, Chhattisgarh. The Chhattisgarh police registered the case against Nandini Sundar, Vineet Tiwari and Sanjay Parate and Archana Prasad in November 2015 for the alleged criminal conspiracy and murder of a tribal man in Sukma district of the state.[9]

1. Adivasi Chhatra Sangathan (ACS) - ACS is a political Adivasi Student Union, headed by Prakash Bandod, which is a student arm of AMS. In Student Union Election 2017, around total of ACS’s 162 student representatives in 25 colleges in about 15 districts of Madhya Pradesh have won the student union elections for the first time.[10]

3. Jai Adivasi Yuva Shakti (JAYS) - Popularly known by its acronym JAYS. JAYS is a political movement which follow Separatist Ideology (Adivasi is not Hindu and want different State for them), which Dr Hiralal Alawa (MLA from Manawar Constituency) spearheads along with Mahendra Singh Kannoj and Vikram Achhaliya. JAYS acquired ample traction in social media to leap out from the virtual world to land in Madhya Pradesh’s tribal heartland. It began as a Facebook page that Hiralal Alawa created in 2012.

4. Adharshila Learning Center - Adharshila Learning Centre is a place of LWE’s learning where children live and learn. Situated on a hill in Sakad, a tribal village in the Barwani district of Madhya Pradesh, started by Adivasi Mukti Sangathan and Jayashree & Amit in 1996, Adharshila has grown into a residential facility for 100 children up to middle school. Most of the children belong to the Barela tribe. AMS purchased the 5-acre land for this School.
ALC feeding “war against the State and anti-establishment Ideology to the children”. They mentioned by themselves on their website.[11]
ALC is funded by Eklavya Foundation and The Simantini Dhuru (Defence Committee member of Kabir Kala Manch) is also a member of Eklavya Foundation.
ALC has its own natak company called Natak India Company. They use children’s plays to spread their propaganda.

AMS connection with other Organisations
1. Adivasi Ekta Parishad - The Adivasi Ekta Parishad was established in 1992 by the Kaluram Kakadya Dhodade from Maharashtra. AEP is Far-Left Political Organisation and it is spreading “separatist thoughts in the Tribal area”.Adivasi Ekta Parishad, and Bhumi Sena, are lead organisations who opposed the projects of Bullet Train and of Mumbai – Vadodara Highway Project in the guise of protecting the interest of Adivasis.[15]Adivasi Ekta Parishad and Adivasi Shramik Sangathan made representations to stop immolating effigy of Ravan on the occasion of Dussehra. They threatened to lodge complaints under various laws in relation to attempt to immolate the effigy of Ravan on the ground of intimidation and hurting religious feelings of Adivasis. They falsely propagate and argue before Adivasis that Ravan is the deity of Adivasis. The left-wing organisations try to impress upon literate Adivasi youth that the gods preached by Hindus are not the gods who are traditionally worshipped by Adivasis. Gajanand Brahmane head of Adivasi Mukti Sangathan is also head of AEP, MP unit.
2. Independent People’s Tribunal on the World Bank Group in India -
The World Bank Group (WBG) is a global group of Anti-Development organization. In its 60 years of operations, it has disbursed approximately US$525 billion to developing nations, mostly in the form of loans. The WBG is problematic not only because of its projects and policies but also its methodology. It operates in greater secrecy than even multinational corporations, as it is not subject to any disclosure laws, and treats its agreements with national governments as state secrets. Because of its control over international capital flows, it is in a position to dictate terms to the government and uses this power to circumvent democratic processes which might seek alternative economic policies. When existing bodies (panchayats, councils, etc.) are not to their liking, the WBG has been known to set up parallel governance structures to implement its projects, thus rendering irrelevant the nation's democratic structure. Its loans are sovereign debt, so regardless of the success or failure of its projects, the nation as a whole is obliged to repay them. The WBG determines the loan and attached conditions, but in case of failure, all costs are borne by the people, who are excluded from the decision-making process. Finally, as a treaty organisation, the WBG has claimed immunity from lawsuits.All of these activities have been strongly criticised at the national and international levels, and every few decades. Adivasi Mukti Sangathan is also an Endorser of this Group.[16]
Funding and Support of AMS
AMS is an Endorser of Independent People’s Tribunal (World Bank group in India). It is group of far-left organisations. And surprisingly some International Endorsers also part of it, who is mainly involved in Anti India and Anti-Development activities in India.[16]

Activities of Adivasi Mukti Sangathan
1. Running self-govern government in the name of Gram Sabha and don’t allow any outsider People and Organization (Nationalist NGO’s, Government Employees and Private Companies).
2. Gajanand Brahmane has been served an externment notice by the District Administration, Barwani under the Madhya Pradesh Rajya Suraksha Adhiniyam, 1990 because creating anarchism and interrupting the work of government officials by giving rallies, dharna etc in government departments premises. It causes the threat against the law and order situation of Barwani.
3. AMS members created vaccine Hesitancy in Tribal Area.
4. AMS members are spreading Anti Hindu sentiments and Adivasi is not Hindu propaganda.
5. They opposed the Hindu Fair or Mela called Bhagoria Haat because the fair is celebrated just before Holi wherein tribal people apply 'gulal' to each other.[18] And they opposed it because it makes tribals feel like they are Hindus. And irony is they wanted to stop it down because of Covid, but they were holding rallies against this Haat without masks and social distancing.
6. Opposed the employees of Telecom company to enter in Village area for Development works.
7. Organized the Raily against the Farm Law 2020 with Rakesh Tikait, JAYS, Adivasi Ekta Parishad and other LWE’s.
8. Congress, JAYS and Adivasi Mukti Sangathan are very closely work together in Nimad Region.
